Zesty Scrapple Pizza

Ingredients


4 cups flour

1 -2 cups of room temp water

5 teaspoons yeast

2 ½ teaspoons sugar

8 oz olive oil

3 tbsp salt

3 tbsp onion powder

Liquid Smoke

3 tbsp garlic powder

1 green bell pepper diced

1 yellow onion diced

1 teaspoon chili flakes

2 cups of vegetable oil

4 oz veggie spread

2 medium white potatoes peeled

9 oz mozzarella cheese

9 oz Gouda cheese

16 oz of scrapple

Fresh basil

Fresh oregano I

talian seasoning

Cornstarch



Directions


Start yeast for dough. Mix yeast, sugar, and warm water (100°). Set for 10 minutes.


Heat olive oi I to 131° F to 140° . Maintain temperature. Pan sear 12 oz of scrapple. Set seared scrapple in olive oil.


Make Dough - Combine flour oregano Italian seasoning yeast salt and room temperature water as needed. Let dough rise for a minimum of 30 minutes in a dark, warm place.


Melt veggie spread.


Saute green pepper and yellow onions.


Mix the dough with Italian seasoning. After the dough has risen, shape to a 16-in piece of pan press from center outward then bake for 5 minutes then add barbecue sauce as base then layer, puree, scrapple on top with the infused olive oil.


Toss mozzarella, gouda, onions, peppers. Place the mixture on top of scrapple.


Bake for 15 - 20 minutes until golden and cheese is melted. Drizzle homemade bbq sauce. Garnish with basil.


Scrapple Fries

Steam potatoes. Mash with garlic and onion powder, salt. Let cool.


Slice scrapple long way into strips and coat with cornstarch. Mold potatoes around scrapple strips. Freeze. Deep fry for 3 minutes.
